JP WILLIAMS AT MONDOCANE
On a trip to New York we stopped by Mondocane Gallery to see JP Williams newest exhibition. We were especially intrigued to find three of his personal sketchbooks…collages of type and color that seems refreshingly sourced from the real word.

Commune Sitio Tile
Our first tile collection for Exquisite Surfaces was inspired by Brazilian landscape architect and artist Burle Marx and California Modernist geometric pattern combinations. The terracotta tile is hand made and glazed in Mexico. The patterns are slashed into the tile to receive the grout. There are six slash designs allowing for an endless variety of custom patterns.”The Sitio Tile Collection” is named after Marx’s home outside Rio de Janeiro, the tiles are a modern interpretation of those found in his garden. The tiles are available at communeshop.com or xsurfaces.com

For our first, Adam Silverman talks about his new piece at the Kimbell, clay, and being an artist with kids. (please excuse the quality and length of the audio…its an iPhone for gods sake) enjoy!
